Windows Phone 7 Unleashed Hackathon at TechEd 2011

Are you going to be at TechEd 2011 next week?  I’m really looking forward to making a return trip to TechEd this year.  My last TechEd was in 2008 (that was also my first major Microsoft conference of any type).  That last experience was amazing.  I’m really loooking forward to TechEd this year.  I’m sure there will be some exciting announcements made there (it is a Microsoft conference after all . . . it’s what they do) that people will be buzzing about for many days.

One of the activities at TechEd that I’m really looking forward to is the big Windows Phone 7 Unleashed Hackathon!  This is going to be a great way for developers to get some real hands on experience in building Windows Phone 7 applications.  There will be Windows Phone 7, XNA, and Windows Azure experts on hand to help people in building, scaling, and publishing an application or game.  Developers of all levels are welcome to attend.  If you want help just getting started or have a few detailed questions you want to dive into, there will be people there to give you a hand.

Microsoft isn’t going to provide you with a laptop, so you will need to bring your own laptop for this event.  But, Microsoft is going to provide you with plenty of food and highly caffeinated beverages.  Let’s get this party started!!

UPDATE (5/13/2011):  Quick start templates for Windows Phone 7 and Windows Azure were recently released on CodePlex –  These make a great starting point for use at the hackathon!
