Over the last several months I’ve had the pleasure of being a trainer for a series of Windows Azure training events dubbed Windows Azure Boot Camp. These are a series of two-day, hands-on training events designed to give attendees first hand experience with Windows Azure. During the two days, attendees get to learn about Windows Azure (compute and storage), SQL Azure, and the Windows Azure platform App Fabric. Attendees also get FREE tokens to use so they can easily deploy applications to Windows Azure!
The last two Windows Azure Boot Camp events I led where in Independence, OH (close to Cleveland) and Downers Grove, IL (a Chicago suburb). The attendance at both boot camps was pretty good. I think everybody there had a really good time, and it seemed like they learned a lot about Windows Azure. People asked a lot of good questions, which I felt showed they were really starting to grasp what Windows Azure could do for them. If you were at the Independence, OH or Downers Grove, IL boot camp, and would like a copy of the slides I used, please get them here (these are large – nearly 40 MB). The slides I have are pretty similar to what is on WindowsAzureBootCamp.com, but not exact. I’ve made a few minor updates (mostly related to new announcements from TechEd 2010). The material on WindowsAzureBootCamp.com will likely be updated sometime later this summer.
